Social Security contributions that fund pensions and benefits. Deducted from your salary according to progressive brackets.
Income tax withheld at source. An advance on your annual tax, calculated after INSS and deductions (dependents, alimony, etc.).
8% deposit made by the employer into your linked account at Caixa. It doesn’t reduce your net pay but is part of your compensation package.
Deductions such as transit voucher, health/dental plan and optional contributions, per company policy and agreements.
Educational simulation. Rules may change. Check your paystub/accountant for specific cases.
You can compute in two ways: Gross → Net or Net → Gross. In Gross → Net, enter your gross salary and we estimate the take-home amount after deductions. In Net → Gross, enter the target net and we show the gross required to reach it.
To avoid confusion, only one main field stays active: in Gross → Net, the “Target net salary” field is hidden/disabled; in Net → Gross, the “Gross salary” field is hidden/disabled. Hidden values are preserved if you switch modes but aren’t used until reactivated.
Other fields refine the calc: Dependents (IR) reduce IRRF base; Transit voucher applies a % discount (capped at 6%); Alimony can be in R$ or % of gross; Health/Dental plan, union/assistance, and others add to monthly deductions.
Results show total deductions (INSS + IRRF + transit + alimony + others), FGTS (8%) employer deposit (doesn’t reduce net), effective income tax rate, and estimates for 13th salary (~ 1× gross) and vacation + 1/3 (~ 1.33× gross).
This is an educational simulation with illustrative rules. Always check your paystub/contract and consult HR or an accountant for specific cases.
